The good thing is my tank uses lapis only...

So far, I am keeping the Marsilea nearer the back... Will probably transplant them to another tank when it is ready... Target end Feb-early Mar 06! I have some glosso too... But I am just trying them... Dunno whether they will take off or will die off...

I am just a crypt beginner... No idea how C.tokinensis looks like... Sorry...

Ya, that still doesn't make me a crypt expert... I am really just a crypt beginner... These and C. walkeri (which I just bought and added to the tank) are just about the only crypts I know...

    Update

    Update...

I shifted the wood and some plants...

I also placed some mesh for Taiwan moss... Thinking of evenrtually decreasing the tenellus amount and replacing with Taiwan moss lawn... How about that?

The tenellus are growing pink leaves! Must be Root Monster + T5 HO... And my Ruben is sprouting VERY red leaves!

Water looks abit "dirty"....might want to do some large water changes to clean up the "dirty" look. CO2 is fine?

Eh... My water looks 'dusty' somehow... Tried stuffing fine wool in filter but slowed down the filter a lot and the media needs washinh often... The filter inlet needs clearing so often, it is troublesome... Particles settle on my nanas and crypts and mulm gather at the tenellus and mosses... Why ah? Thinking of running the Eden 501 packed with filter wool to 'polish the water' before relatives visit...

    wc is good.

i use some 'waste control'- nutrafin when lights off then do wc in morning during lights on to reduce the particles for new tanks...esp when moving house.
this is usually new tank syndrome or rescaping issue.
can just put an additional powerhead in there with a piece of t shirt tied to tube to filter... in time for relative's visit

I think that wood can't work for you after all. You need a bigger piece or maybe more peices to give the scape a character.

    I tried...

Quite sick of finding wood now... Maybe I'll find a BIG piece and add it somewhere left center later...

Ok guys, I think I will

    1) Add some flatter wood on the bottom of the current wood to elevate them. Ranmasatome recommended that...
    2) Maybe add more branchy wood nearer the left side.

That should give the wood more character.

In the mean time, I am adding Loebelia cardinalis and will be adding more Blyxia japonica to the right side.

I need comments on the left side. I want to decrease the size of the Echinodoras tenellus lawn and push it to the back, nearer the E.uruguayensis. After that I will tie more Taiwan moss on wire meshes and lay them where the E.tenellus are currently at now. The E.ruben will also either be shifted back further or given away...

Oh, I am starting to see hair algae on some of the Marselia sp....
