have a 4 ft tank set up recently with resun chiller, 4x 36wattx 2 nos and set the H20 temp at abt 25 C.

Planted with taiwan moss, nana, downoi and HC.

question: Should the chiller on for 24 hrs or on the moment light on.
    thanks

I beleive most of us would just leave the chiller on 24/7!
Although the lights might be off, the temp will still rise,
the big fluctuation in water temperature is not good for both flora and fauna!
    Hope this helps!

    Oh, just to add!
Most, if not all chiller have this thermosat, the chiller will only kick in when the water temp rise above the preset temp!
To put it simple, the chiller is auto on/off!
So quite redundant to do it manually!

The chiller will kick in when the water temp rise, not fall. Usually if the temp rise by about 2 degrees, then the chiller will kick in and off itself when it reaches the desired temp.

Mecedesfish, what Resun model are you using?
If you've learnt, teach, if you have, give.
