Try out a moss tank this year. Although still not up to good standard, see some growth in moss

    Please comment for improvement.

the moss looks great. But maybe you can take a clearer pic? so that it's easier for us to post more comments? The pic seems abit blur though.

Ok. Not good in taking pic with my out of time coolpix 3100. Also got problem with resizing the pictures. I'll try again.

LOL! No standard for competition lah. I stay in Rivervale Drive. If you are near, I am most pleased if you could drop by to take some pictures for my own collection.

hey! i love the placement of the woods. Would look even great when the whole DW is covered with moss. Great job!

Thanks kemp. I just wanted to show some contrast of the wood. I have a few sticks of wood with moss covered all round (see left side of my tank) and once the moss fully grown on it, it becomes a ball of moss. No sticks

Are you intending to keep shrimps in your tank? I'm sure it will be heaven for them. I really like your tank setup alot!

Yes! I threw in 50 cherry 3 weeks ago. But there are too many hiding places and i hardly see them!

I think a plain tank would be more appropriate to enjoy shrimps. I mean those zen style like NA so that you may be able to see where are the shrimps. I am thinking of doing that soon...

Nice moss tank! I wished I have a bigger tank...

in my humblest opinion, i think there seemed to be no 'focus point' around the centre? maybe it's because the "hill" of moss at the centre looks too soft and a little overgrown...

probably you could try using rocks at the centre and/or centre-left&right or create an opening in the "hill of mosses" and make a bigger foreground lawn?

    just my 2 cents worth...

Yes, i love zen style set up. Very neat and cool but got to have discipline from not having more variety of plants. Actually I had done two 2.5ft feet tanks this way but too embarass to show all. Don't laugh.. Could only attach one. The other exceeded quota for attachment.

Thanks gorilla, I also prefer rocks as focus point but couldn't get ideal ones for many months.

Actually the water is not that yellow. The pic came out to be like that, don't know why.

Any other alternative to insert image other than via attachment? My quota is used up. Pardon me, I am a dinosaur.

This is a good tank. Why don't just submit it in via AQ to see where you stand? It's free.

Anyway, resize your photos here, and upload them to AQ's gallery so you can have bigger pics on your thread (bigger, not oversized).

Thanks gorilla. Just learnt how to do it:

4 feet tank. Pordon the fuzzy shot. The plants were pearling.

2.5ft Koi Angel tank. By the way, giving up the koi angels and some SAEs. Any good home?

    Another 2.5ft tank
