snap shot of a very unusual "mushroom" during one of my "forest" walk shooting birds.

does anyone know what it is ?

these are all male flies, as they are all chionging the "skirt".

got its ID from another site and its suppose to be a Veiled Stinkhorn or Netted Stinkhorn (Dictyophora duplicata)

I thought I saw ants on them instead of fruit flies.

ants at the bottom (stem area) and some kind of flies on its "lace spread"

i think they look like Drosophila..or at least Drosophilidae... but not sure leh.. anyway a lot of flies are attracted to this.. not only this family or genus
