Run your hands along it. Does it have small round "knots" along the strand?
Definitely not Utricularia gibba...
Probably not staghorn.
Could be hair moss.
Not sure about Cladophora.
Could be Oedogonium sp.

Generally no, as long as my plants were healthy the moss stayed away. But once the leaf started to die you'd get little spots of it appearing. I just left it there, looked quite good to me![]()
