    Hi All,

Any expertise can advice me on the attachment pic drawing on the rain bar set up 1, 2 n 3 for 170G of water?Set up set 1- I am intend to set up an output U shape rain bar with an slightly at the middle of the rain bar for inlet. Running a Ehiem 2260 cainster sys. This will be set up at one side of the rear tank(width is 2ft). Drawing in the blue at the rain bar and inlet set up with surface skimmer.

set up 2 - two output piping goes all the way to infront tank, running two ehiem 2028 with two return inlets at the middle.

set up 3 - one output piping goes all the way to infront tank, joining an rain bar to the end of the rear side tank (2 ft length of the rain bar). Running an ehiem 2260.

Which one of the set up will it be efficient in circulation of the water and dissolve the co2? All set up running with external co2 reactor that connect to the output tube.

Kindly, give me some advice...As my new tank is going to build soon and i need to let my tank maker know any changes

    Thank you.

Don't get what you trying to say for Setup 1.

For my 5ft (~150g) with 2028, I am using something like setup 3 and dirt gets collected at the bottom on the right side. I suppose setup 2 will have similar effect.

Set the spraybar along the bottom rear back pointing forward towards the front the tank is the best flow pattern if using an external reactor inline with the filter. Just make sure you have some surface movement to go along with it by drilling a couple of holes (sort of anti-siphon holes) near the surface of the water on the vertical bar that directs the flow down to the spraybar.

    Hi juggler,

Thanks for your sharing information's. What i mean is that the output rain bar i created somthing like this " I___I " U shape, centre of this placing an surface skimmer inlet. Any pic of drawing to share with me if possible?

Suddenly have another idea that in the attachment, surface skimmer inlet placing at one corner of the rear tank, outlet at another opp. end of the tank with rain bar vertical straight down point at 45 degree angle and drill more hole that point 90 degree angle towards the front, the left side of the tank, creating three angle point for output. This set up will be running an ehiem 2260(Flowrate 2400 L/HR) Will it distribute even for the circulation of co2 diffusion and water?

Why my set up in this way for all the above set up was because my tank inside got one dry partition that connected to 4 pvc pipes to do my set up sys.either using two piping for running 2260, one piping for using electrical wiring and another piping for auto top up water sys. Cabinet will not be expose with piping out side the cabinet(No hole outside the side of the cabinet. Design of the tank is an partition tank...

    Hi Peter Gwee,

you mean like this attachment drawing... Blue in colour are rain bar in L shape(Drill a few hole near the surface of the water) and inlet at the top with surface skimmer. Can I use ehiem 2260 connected to an external reactor, sufficient enough??

IF the back of your tank in real life is similarly the left side of the drawn tank..then yes.
