Hi everyone. I just set up my 3x2x2 tank again. I connected an external co2 reactor to the output of the 2026, followed by a UV sterilizer to arrest any problems when they occur. But the problem is my 2026 does not seem to be able to fill the reactor up. And there are grinding noises so I turned the filter off in case the impeller is damaged. Theoretically speaking the 2026 should be able to handle the flow right? I'm using a surface skimmer to take water from the tank into the filter. Please advise. Thanks.

If you're using the external reactor from NA and the reactor doesn't seem to fill up, give it about a day or two and it'll fill up the whole reactor. Also "turn-off" the surface skimmer until the whole reactor is filled before adjusting the skimmer. I noticed that my reactor will not be fully filled when the bottom suction of my skimmer is choked and it'll get worst by the day and you will also notice that the top suction becomes stronger than usual.

As for the noises coming out from the filter, check that the filter is fully filled with water.

Try lying the reactor on the side, this should allow the air to get out of the reactor.

As for noise in the 2026, you can stop the filter and using the priming fuction to flush out the air or tilt the filter slightly when it is running and this will also help to flush out the air.
