    Hi guys,

Don't know if this is the right place to post my question..
I'm using DIY CO2 right now, yesterday the bottle cap broke
And it needs about 24 hours to make the new one, becoz I have to wait 24 hours for the sealant glue.
What should I do between this 24 hours to prevent algae bloom (caused by unstable CO2), should I reduce the light, or should I stop giving fert...?
    Please advice...

    Tks.

Agree with loupgarou. There is no harm stopping CO2. If you are dosing fert, you might want to stop dosing until you have the CO2 back.

Actually there's no need for you to stop your CO2. Just seal the part with Blutack. Works just as well.

    Thanks guys...

Squee : actually I don't stop the CO2, but I'm using DIY with ceramic diffuser, so if there's any leakage, after we fix it, need about 6-7 hours to get CO2 bubbles again from the diffuser, I guess the CO2 gas need to accumulate so they have enough pressure to pass through diffuser.
Besides, I have to wait 24 hours for the sealant glue so it can works well stick the cap & airline tubing.
What is Glutack...? Is it somekind of glue that we can use without have to wait 24 hours for the high pressure CO2...?

    Surely you've seen Blutack before!
    .

I used it last time for my DIY CO2. Works well, it's like plastacine but better. Just press it all over the joint area real good.

You tank should do fine without CO2 for a while. However, your might wanna stop dosing ferts, as the plant growth are hinder with the lack of CO2, therefore they might not be using as much ferts.
