the anubias with the driftwood very nice! (is it anubia?)

i think the natural bright diffused light from the window helps to make the plant colours look much nicer...

have a tank near the window too... and the plants in my tank look kind of weird and unnatural with only flourescent lighting at night...

anubia (is that same as normal nana) and mini nana

got them from C328, the first tank near the entrance..

there are other plants i cannot name.... maybe some can help..

Java fern, anubia, mini nana, dwarf hair grass,tall hair grass, moss ball ,

rotala green (i think), same as the middle green plant in my 2 feet)..
a grass kind of stem plant (same as weirong ada submission tank)..

these are stuff behind the DW, and has not grown tall yet..

spike moss, which has not grown yet, on the DW (initially i had java moss, but got infected with hair algae) anyway i oso think spiky moss will be better...

maybe some other day will try a bit of taiwan moss....not for now though..
fert regime : some NO3 and PO4 every 2 other days..(not EI though, since i am dosing low, and also CO2 is low)

some ferka balance K, seacom iron, seachem flourish every other days, few drops only

CO2 method.. inverted cylinder.. this is what Mr chan told me (or rather the lady), for small tank, no need reactor or diffuser, coz u will waste more.... so i used a cyclinder which i had, and just fill with Co2, 1-2 times a day.

Lights : 27 FPL (10.00am to 10.00pm) (not that constant though, coz no time for that)

few times a day i like to use my tweezers to dust away my anubia leaves a little...dun wanna any dirt accumulate on them...

On the bottom left side, there are some hairgrass...but i notice that this is quite shady and some of them are melting...

so was thinking of putting some crypts there... any cripts that will stay short and dun need too much lights.. or shall i just tie some java or spiky moss to some small rocks and place down there....

More mini nanas... hmmm...i am not sure about that.. too expensive..

maybe will try some crypts...any species will will remain about 5-8 cms tall..
does constant prunning will make it grow shorter...? ( i know i can prune my lotus - which i gave away- to keep it short),,

if no crypts will remain 5-8 cm short, maybe i will just leave it like that, and hope the leaves of the java fern will take the space..

okie, yeps moss when overgrown there wun be that nice...anyway i oso wanna maximine the use of the ada soil and PS

very impressive.considering the small size.it is how many gallons?
i have a tiny tank too little over three gallons ,bow front,white gravel which i have cultured .its in incipient stage .cud use some pointers.

15*15*8 Inches (L*H*W) but without counting the substrate layer, i get 15*12*8 inches

I would say less than 20L if u consider DW

After shifting to a new room, here is an update of my tank..



I had to remove the hairgrass ...too many snails eggs....

I would like to get some feedback on the following. Do you guys think a carpet of spiky moss will do right on the right?

I don't think it was hairgrass you have, aren't they sagittaria...?
Crypts will do well in low tech condition.
Spike moss... I don't know how it lokks like, coz people at my place only call moss, java moss is the most popular one

Spiky moss has quite a bit of 'volume' effect, not very good for a 'flat' look on the gravel. Taiwan moss would be more 'flat'... But personally, I think it looks good with the gravel showing.
