    Hi all,

Been posion lately by the beauty of L46, so have done a bit of reading and want to setup 2ft tank to keep them. I've only keep shrimps and never keep pleco before. Will need so help on a few question i have:

    1) I've got a spare 2026 to use for the setup, is it enough? What media is more suitable for keeping pleco? BioHom? Subtrate pro?
    2) I read that pleco need to have current in their tank, what kind of powerhead should i get?
    3) Is heater a must to keep them?
    4) Will LED light do for them? they seem shy animals and like afraid of lights.
    5) Any water paremeters that i need to be careful? they seem rather hardly.

    Thanks

    Re: Setting up Pleco Tank

I uses bio hom for e media. Initially I used a heater for a few months, I stopped using it, till now everything still good. I didn't use light for my tank as they are kind of shy to light. To me the tank must be proper cycle, water parameters wise just maintain the ph between 6-7.5. Regular change of water will be good. All this just my opinion not expert view.
    Enjoy pleco keeping 
