Its not a hoax. It's some kind of grenadier, Family Macrouridae.
Or a Rattial fish.

It looks like the angler fish's family. They are from deep waters( like those that come with a suspended bulb on their head to attract small fish ).
Something about the water & the fishes that calms me down.
