Hi samuel,
I've split out your filter query so that it does not get lost in your previous thread.
Hopefully somebody familiar with Atman filters can help.
Cheers,
Hi guys,
I just hopped down to Nature Aquarium to refill my CO2 tank (after 3 months for my 2ft tank... can you believe it ???), anyway I no longer see any Atman 333X series, but instead, it had since been replaced by the Atman canister 2. I tried to find the info I want through the net, but can't seem to find any info on the canister 2.
so the question is what's the difference between the 333X series and the canister 2? Any one here can help ?

I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
thanks benny!
cos i really know nuts about the new atman canister.. but the price seems damn good with all the filter media included and stuff!
just would like to know the diff.
hope some bros here can help me with it
Just got a Atman latest canister filter CF-1200 to replace my 3337,
beside a better look, it comes with self-primming. That's about all.
CF-1200
flowrate 1500litre/h
3 trays for media
Bro samuel, dun be fool by wat is written in the box!Originally Posted by samuelgoh

Apparently, when they say filter media included, i think they are refering to the coarse and fine filter pads!
But the packaging aside, I agreed that Atman reliable filters for a reasonable prices!
I personally running 4 Atman filters, 2 of the At series, 2 of the CF series!
The CF series is sleek compared to the older Atmans!
They are also offer higher flowrate with lower power consumption!
And they are self-priming too!
No complains so far!
thanks bro dreamgarden.Originally Posted by evolim83
so bro evolim83, the CF series only comes with the filter pads only ? no bio balls, ceramic rings and stuffs ?
anyway, will a 800CF and 1000CF be enough for a 4x2x2 ?
hi, am looking at a new filter as mine old one got "roasted". was looking at Jebo but Atman sounds good .. how much is it ? i might pop by NA tomorrow ..
thanks
Even Eheim says that media included, it is also only course and fine wool...
Ceremic ring and Eheim substrate must buy yourself too...

anyway anyone can help me with the qn ?
whether 800CF and 1000CF is enough for my coming 4x2x2?
Go for the CF1200 if possible get 2 for yr 422 tank.
IMO, the Eheim 2028 is better, cost more but include media/course,fine pad/ceramic rings/biomedia,for serious hobbyist.
Got CF1000 for my 4X2X2 but already got an internal corner filter as well .. my experience with Atman is the setup is a bit tricky .. quite hard to prime but once it gets going, it is quiet .. but during the process, i had wished that i got Ehiem 2026 - probably easier to setup and will have English instructions. Instructions for CF1000 is almost non-existent noit to say that there is much to write about in the 1st place
CF1000 comes with some simple filter media and is 3X cheaper than Ehiem 2026 with the exception that Ehiem comes with media. So i would round it off to half the price of Ehiem after considering the filter media..
It is still a tough choice if i am to go thru the selection again ..
but i think i would go for a atman still cos of the cheap price.Originally Posted by mywish4fish

Imo, go for CF1200, the price is very much the same!Originally Posted by samuelgoh
