Looks like a stone, and why not use one to keep a troublesome piece of wood down. In a month or two the java moss will creep over it..

Thanks Ranmasatome. Noted will add more plants... i thought better wait for the plants to stabilise before introducing more.

Hi Celticfish and Rupert, it's a stone i used to weigh down the DW... I will monitor closely to prevent the moss from creeping over... hopefully the DW will sink soon... i already use boiling water over it once... don't intend to do it again cos too troublesome.

Any recommendations to make it look better? I'm gonna introduce tetras and cherry shrimps into it shortly... or should i wait first and plant more??

    Thanks all!!

    More foreground plants?
If you've learnt, teach, if you have, give.
Don't walk behind me as I might not lead, don't walk in front of me as I might not follow. Walk beside me, as my friend.
Mohamad Rohaizal is my name. If it's too hard, use BFG. I don't mind.

how about shifting the DW a little more off-centre?
and maybe tilt it for an oblique angle from the front plane?

you can get some fast growing plants for this stage of planting... then when you decide on what you really want to grow simply give them away or throw the old fast growing plants.. they come really cheap...
