Magnesium Nitrate

I need to add nitrogen to my planted tank, and all the 'recipies' i see say to use potassium nitrate.

I have not been able to find potassium nitrate, but i have got some magnesium nitrate.

has anyone used this in their planted tank (and not killed the fishies?)

hmm...
i do add mgso4 and kno3 in my tank...
and ur is mgno3
mayb its the same???
but better check with the bros here...
and is it safe for fishes???
