Hi guys, i just bought the above from NA in solid forms.

    1) How do i go about calculating how much i need for my planted tanks ?

    2) Do i dose them dry or mix with water then dose ?

    My tank is about 127 L / 30 Gallons.

    Thanks

You can either premix it with a certain amount of water and then dose by ml liquid form... Or just agar agar dose in solid amount (based on Chuck's calculated values) into the tank...

Note that Chuck's reccomended amount for NO3 is way too low... I'd go at least double the amount (10ppm if I'm not wrong)

Look at the markings on the plastic thing. The 5ml one is teaspoon. 15ml is tablespoon.

    Tom Barr's EI gives a range of 5 to 30ppm. I aim for mid-range.

valice, guess u say wrongly....5ml is teaspoon and the other 2.5ml is 1/2teaspoon.......

so for convenience sake, i always use the small side (2.5ml) since i'm suppose to does 1/2 tsp of KNO3 to my tank twice a week....it'll be more accurate..

i'm ADDicted to this wonderful hobby

think he meant that the small size is 1/2 teaspoon and big size is 1 teaspoon.

anyway usually the KNO3 , you guys will used a lot more as compared to the KH2SO4 right ? as in accordance to the recommended ppm

    OH! Issit?
But the big side is so big? The spoon you have is the normal one which the doctors will give when we eat medicine right?

So the big side should be 1 tablespoon instead of teaspoon...

Well, you could say that Vincent. Going high minimises the possibility of nutrients going low as far as possible.
