You can either premix it with a certain amount of water and then dose by ml liquid form... Or just agar agar dose in solid amount (based on Chuck's calculated values) into the tank...
thanks guys, nv see the recommended ppm just now!
haha
thanks thanks
Note that Chuck's reccomended amount for NO3 is way too low... I'd go at least double the amount (10ppm if I'm not wrong)
can anyone confirm ?Originally Posted by |squee|
cos if that case, i need to aim more KNO3 to my mixture liao.
anyway, for the small spoon that comes with the LUSHgro, is it equals to a teaspoon or tablespoon?
The big one is tablespoon and the small side is teaspoon i supposed...
Look at the markings on the plastic thing. The 5ml one is teaspoon. 15ml is tablespoon.
Tom Barr's EI gives a range of 5 to 30ppm. I aim for mid-range.
hmmm ok that was wat i supposed too. lolOriginally Posted by valice
hope my dosage bo salah
ehmmmm u mean for the KNO3 ?Originally Posted by |squee|
Yes, for KNO3, which refers to mostly nitrate
valice, guess u say wrongly....5ml is teaspoon and the other 2.5ml is 1/2teaspoon.......Originally Posted by valice
so for convenience sake, i always use the small side (2.5ml) since i'm suppose to does 1/2 tsp of KNO3 to my tank twice a week....it'll be more accurate..

Err... Isn't that what I said? Small side is teaspoon and big side tablespoon?
I can't remember what is the ml values for the two though...
think he meant that the small size is 1/2 teaspoon and big size is 1 teaspoon.Originally Posted by valice
anyway usually the KNO3 , you guys will used a lot more as compared to the KH2SO4 right ? as in accordance to the recommended ppm
persoanlly i like the high side..my kno3 for my high light tank is running at 30-40ppm for the entire week
as for Po4.. i dose 1-1.5ppm every 2 days..
OH! Issit?Originally Posted by samuelgoh

So the big side should be 1 tablespoon instead of teaspoon...![]()
Isn't this what we should be doing if we going EI?Originally Posted by ranmasatome

Well, you could say that Vincent. Going high minimises the possibility of nutrients going low as far as possible.
actually on my schedule..i can go for 3 weeks b4 i see tiny GSA forming.. tried and tested liao on my tank..

GAS? What gas? You mean you change your water only after 3 weeks?
