Some corals especially sponges cannot have any contact with air. They wither and die. There's aesthetically unnatural though for some people.
have read about this microbubbles issue.
Just wonder, isn't there lots of bubbles and microbubbles in the ocean esp near coral reefs where water is relatively shallow and with lots of wave splashing against the rocks/corals. Why is it then not ok to have microbubbles in our tanks???

If you've learnt, teach, if you have, give.
Don't walk behind me as I might not lead, don't walk in front of me as I might not follow. Walk beside me, as my friend.

Not too sure of coral dying due to microbubble. Its seems to me like a myth.
Actually, I'll not be too concern of microbubble unless u really have alot. With a gd water circulation, slim build on coral will be removed before the bubbles can cause any harm like choking.
Definitely agree on the aesthetic part
