    Hi Cacatuoides
    .
My 2 LFS Kakis and I went to Ian's shop last evening to have a look at the apisto. I would said that the pricing are reasonable price. The fishes are in the semi adult stage. Price range is between xx to xxx (lower hundred) I think it is better that you call Ian directly as it is not good to make known the pricing on the internet. We got to show some responsible to the LFS owner.

    Simon, that's my suspicion... ooops.

Maybe Outspoken can get a better shot of the fish..
I don't see the ^^^^^^^^^ on the stomach instead I see the net on the scales which is very Alenquer -ish.

I think its a tefe, caudal of the alenquer doesn't have a black/purplish band on the outer end.

Outspoken, I supposed the end of the caudal fin is dark purple?

or perhaps its an agassizii from rio tefe

the colour looks like black to me...so i still unsure whether its tefe or alenquer..bought it as tefe.i cant see the purple hue on the body cos any apisto dat goes into the comm tank...all of them seems to be yellowish...except of my macmesteri red male, the rest 5 apisto are always yellowish..the pH in my tank are around 5~5.5

Alenquer had a very unique feature different from the rest of the aggasszi family. If you look carefully, alenquer got rounder face/mouth feature, whereas most aggasszi are sharper face/mouth.

Secondly, alenquer lack of the dotted line marking found in the Tefe series.
