Hello bros from London. I may be passing thru singapore soon and was wondering whether i shld pick up a few equipment locally. I somehow get the feeling that eheim prices are lower in asia than in europe inlcuding germany (its country of orgin/manufacture). Hoping to verify this if you can help....

    1. just wondering whether anyone knows what the cost of the pro III filter is. wld you know if the package includes media?

    2. what is the cost of an eheim automatic feeder?

    3. what is the cost of an eheim sludge extractor.

    ______________

    ALSO:

    4. where can I find nana petite? I need alot - about 20 pots. how much does each pot cost?

    5. where can I find thin leaf java fern? Again I need a lot - about 20 bunches. how much will each bunch cost?

    _______

If you do reply, BIG THANKS BRO and BLESS YOU!!

I can't answer you much, but the large quantities you want of plants can be found at plant farms. At lower prices too.

I will fill up those I know

    2) Eheim auto feeder $70
    3) Sludge extractor $60-70 range (from my limited memory)
    4) Nana petite $5 a pot normally. You buy 20 pots can easily bargain for better price.

Then wait till you hear about narrow leaf java ferns. The shops use sells sell them for about S$50 to S80 per bunch of 20 leaves. Only recently, can you get them lower from hobbyist at about S$20 per bunch.

If you are on a budget, consider the regular java ferns at about S$3 to S$5 per bunch.

The price of Nana Petite is more expensive because it grow really slow, small and strong demand for it in the market.

In fact like Benny mentioned, you will be surprised the price people willingly to pay for exotic or rare or new plants that arrive in Singapore.

Just a very small group of plant crazy folks. The variety and demand is still not comparable to Taiwan and Hong Kong, not to mention Japan.

thanks for all that info. prices in the UK are astronomical by the way. a small normal java fern pot or java fern tied to drift wood will cost about S$15!

If I remember correctly, C328 is selling Pro lll for $680!
And, Yes! It comes with the medias!

Guess the best place for you to buy plants in bulk would be Teo's farm!

Teo's do not have petite nanas... But they do have some normal nanas that are real small... I heard also that only Oriental is growing the petite ones locally... Not so sure about the last information...

i thought the very definition of nana petite is that it is a pygmy/stunted version of normal nana. i mean petite nana is after all a mutation right?

The petite nana is even smaller than a stunted version of the normal nana...
Confirmed Teo's does not have. Oriental is the one supplying right now and it's not cheap. Anyway, Oriental is already closed for CNY celebrations and Teo's will be following suit soon.

Nope, Oriental does not entertain walk-ins. They supply to retailers only. If you need a large selection, maybe you can pm me for details.
BTW, I have no stake in Oriental! But I do know how to get plants from there!

Hi, I was reading this thread when I came across the mention of a Sludge Extractor.

Can anyone tell me what is it?
