    Cryptocoryne nurii
    Cryptocoryne wendtii "Green"
    Cryptocoryne x willisii ''Lucens''

A good fren gave me lots of plantlets of these. Hope to grow them to full glory in my tank

    Microsorum pteropus ''Red''
    Microsorum pteropus ''Undulata''

Hi grey_fox, I think you will get much better responses if you create a new thread on where to find crypts. I bought mine from Teo. Not sure about Microsorum pteropus ''Phillippine'' as mine was a gift from fren

Love the tank Joe... I know you're not finished yet, and I'm pretty new to this whole aquascaping thing, but, I would push all the C.balansae forward about 6 inches and then have something like A. ulvaceus behind to give more sense of depth. Or will the balansae grow enough to fill space?

    What do you think?

Looks like not enuff time for ADA 2006 Now I know how slow non-CO2 tanks grow
Here'a a quick update of the tank at 2.5months after setup. Any comments welcomed

    1 month

    2.5 months

Crypts have fluorished due to neglect. The C. wendtii Mi Oya grew so tall I had to move them to the leftmost area where
hopefully the C. balansae will overtake them and curtain the hoses/pipes. The C. wendtii Tropica has also grown very nicely
amongst the C. wendtii 'green', 'brown' and C. becketti.

The bolbitis is growing really slow and I would love it to grow out from behind the jungle to make more of an impact.
The lobelia finally took to its submersed form. Waiting for them to form a compact group on the front left corner.

T-bar output has also been shifted to the right so it can't be seen.

Ah algae has arrived to visit my tank. But they grew even slower than my plants hahahahaaa
Out they come and into the loo they go

i think you too humble lah.. this tank is .. plants all very healthy, tank is very clear and clean looking. testimony to the fact that plants can thrive equally well w/o co2.... oh, n i like the overall look as well.

if i have the $, i definitely will consider setting up my tank like yours (taps and all...)... makes water changing a breeze... the time saved can be better used to............. think abt the next rescaping plan?
Who made up all these rules?
    We follow 'em like fools.
    Believe 'em to be true.
Don't care to think 'em through.

Yeah I agree non-CO2 tanks can be rewarding like D.Walstad states.
I've not changed water for weeks!!! Add fertilisers as and when I remember
Still in infancy testing stage but still learning

ranmasatome, your bolbitis is combined with my own ones on the right back.
More than 30 stalks but can only see less than 5 protruding out!

Very inspiring, I feel more confident about switching my tank to non Co2.

Thanks for the comments. I'm still in infancy stage for non-CO2 tank. Would like to correct the statement "plants do not need CO2 to grow".
ALL plants need CO2 to grow, in one form or another. Thriving is another thing though heh

My lights are 220W meaning almost 2.2W/gallon. There is still fertilization but I remember only dosing twice since I started.
Read http://www.aquaticquotient.com/forum...ad.php?t=18018 for some perspective on non-CO2 planted tanks.
