the many types of java ferns have converted to submersed form and some of the emmersed adult leaves have died off making
some ugly spots in tank looking to remove these and retie the ferns
c. balansae is not growing at all ... it stops at 1ft+ and breaks off ... added many root monsters but no effect ... any ideas?
passed some c.balansae to my frens CO2 tank and they grew to 2.5ft long!!!!
well most rewarding thing is no algae so far!!!

oh forgot to add ... best thing about non-CO2 ... you can bo chup and enjoy da fishes!!!
my 'achievements' are as follows
1. yesterday was 1st time i cleaned filter since started in Jan 2006
2. 3rd time i trimmed the plants (if not less)
3. changed 30% water so far in the past 9 months
... always look at the bright side of life

Did a search and stumbled upon this thread. Really would love to see how your tank is doing. Especially the Java Ferns. Looks like Windelovs are the toughest of the lot.
how come l can't see joe's pictures, only can view his initial setup.
Never create what you can't control
Check the dates of the posts. These may have been posted as long as a year back. Many things may have happened since then, e.g. joe may have removed the pictures that were hosted on other hosting websites.
