i am feeding the Hikari Algae Waffer for my 80 cherry shrimps, but the waffer size is about 10 cents coin, my shrimps couldn't finish it and the waffer expand to bigger size in hrs.
i need to remove the excess waffer or just left it there?
may i know how u feed it, break it to few broken pcs and put all around tank or just one round pcs.

Break it into smaller pieces. Sprinkle around the tank or at 1 location is entirely up to you. If you want to see the shrimps all come out to a certain location, then drop the bits near to one another.

If the wafer is too big and uneaten, remove it...

Hikari has 2 types of sinking wafers. Which type are you using?

As suggested, break it up and feed them smaller portions, especially if you are using the algae wafers instead of the smaller sinking wafers.

    Cheers,

IMO, a whole peice of Hikari Alage wafer is far too much for shrimp consumption!
I would suggest you break it into smaller peices before feeding to your shimps!
Any leftover should be remove, or it will foul your water!

Feed your tetra first before dropping your wafer... Then your tetra will have a lower tendency to swarm over the wafer...

So do you have a problem with shrimps not finishing the wafer or the shrimps not getting any wafer. This is rather confusing.

    benny,
my shrimps are eating the waffer, but the neon tetra come and fight for the waffer, so the tiny shrimps give way lo.
