Ehiem 2260

Hi all,
I have a 2260 that's been working great for me. but lately the water outflow has slowed down tremendously (about 20% of what it should be).

I cleaned my media quite recently, so I dun think it's got to do with any stuck debris.

I do recall that I had air in the filter for about 2-3 weeks and it sounded horrible, until I shook it till all the escaped. I suspect during the time when there as air in the filter, the mixture of air and water caused the impeller (the 'propeller' device that pump the water) to scrape against the inner wall of the pump and it's fins had worn down. Do you all think this can happen?

I very sianz now because I dun know what the cause of the prob is. Need your advice and past experiences.

How old is your filter? Normally old filter will loose a bit of power which is due to the loss of magnetism in the impeller. But I doubt it is the cause of the weak flow. I also doubt it is the impeller got scratch during the air bubble episode.

Try removing the media and check if there is a difference in flow.

Check the both the input and output rubber piping as well for clogging. Mine used to get clogged all the time.
