    Hi All bros,

    Anyone have try before using 70w of MH lighting for tank size of 6ftx2ftx2.5ft? Thinking hard on whether to use 3 units of 70w MH lighting set or 5ft T5 HO set. Aware that MH generate more heat than T5.

    Some advice needed below ;

    1. If the ballest of the MH is in the cabinet, will the MH light bulb generate lot of heat?

    2. If fixing it with 1 unit od computer fan blowing in wind and 1 unit sucking heat out from the casing, will it work and dispose heat effectively with another fan blowing 45 degree angle? ballest is one of the contribution of generate more heat..

    3. If seperate the ballest to below, guess the heat will be much less, right?

    It seems you are more concerned with the ballast creating more heat??? I dun use MH lights but I know MH bulbs can cause large amount of heat especially if they are close to the water surface. Thats also the main reason why they can penetrate deep. MH lights usually goes with a chiller in this hot climate of ours.
