Apistogramma agassizii

Hi guys,

Not flaring, but just frolicking amongst the Java Ferns.

This is one species that has a varied price point.

I have seen this fish going for as little as S$4 a piece at C328 to HK$2950 a pair (which is about S$702, based on an exchange rate of 4.2) at AquaWorld at Tung Choy Street!!!!! Obviously the latter was wild caught Tefe variants.

Amazing isn't it?

How about a pair for your tank? Much more colorful than Apistogramma pertensis.

Thanks. Detailed specifications for camera used for the above fish are here.

But to be honest, it's not the camera. You can get the same results with a Canon 350D or an obsolete Canon D60. Most important is to use a flash and a good lens.

A. agassizii always has a nice coloration on their body. Different colors on different parts of body. Each piece is quite unique....nice one!!
