Hi All,
Curious to know how much you all are spending on the average in electricial expense on an monthly basics using chiller?
Anyone using Resun CL650 in 6ft planted?? Heard that atman brands consumption is low compare to this brand, (Resun 650 watts and Atman estimate 400watts) How much will it cost in an average amount on monthly basics base on comparing this two brands...
Also will let to know your current average interval timing that cut in to on the chillers..

Oh, juggling is hard work, man!...
Hi Justikanz,
Have tried before but i know nothing about interval time when a chiller will kick in... So would like those expert that currently using it, can share the estimate expenses.
Cheers ...![]()

I don't know if this is any help for you. I'm using a 650 but its for a 2ft. Kicks in for every hour plus for about 8~10 mins. Temperature set at 25 deg. Starts to kick in at 27. I see an increment of $15 in my bill.

that's a tough question to answer.
even 2 identical chillers cooling 2 identical tanks in different location does not mean the power consumption will be identical.
it depends on the ambient conditions, the amount of lighting, temperature settings, ...
since the resun is 650 watts while the atman is ~400 watts, the resun will consume more power as it is rated higher. for resun, assuming the chiller is running 24/7, the electric bill will be ~$56 (assuming tariff is $0.12/kwh).
so if the chiller cycle is 10 minutes in every hour, the monthly bill would be ~$9+.
