With the window behind, it is abit difficult to ID.. But I would say from the picture it doesn't look like Blyxa japonica...
To determine if it is japonica, look for the stem... It is a stem plant and not a rosette...

This one's a rosette. About 30cm tall.
Then definitely not a B. Japonica...
Looks like Blyxa aubertii. See if it ever flowers and compare with pics such as at this site http://www.plantgeek.net/plantguide_viewer.php?id=37
