Several questions:
1) How do you even pronounce that?
2) How does it grow? From the photos it seems to grow low and dense. Almost like a "crypt carpet"
3) Is it prone to melt like griffithi? Or more like ciliata?
4) It's an endemic plant right?
5) Is anyone willing to sell me one?
This plant is "endangered" in Singapore. Please leave the wild specimens untouched... I am not sure if there are any cultivated specimens. Probably very hard to grow.

Strange... the site says ciliata is extinct in singapore, but I collected one a few weeks ago. It's in my daphnia tank now, sending out it's first runners too...
Also, is anything being done to prevent this plant from becomming extinct?

yes as KF pointed out, its proper name is Cryptocoryne × timahensis, the "×" being the "multiply" symbol (not exactly an alphabet "x") and is used to signify the named species is a natural hybrid. As it is not part of the name proper, it is not italicised.
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.

no, this is only prescribed by the botanical code, not the ICZN which prescribe nomenclature for zoological subjects.
not to forget, plants would readily or easily hybridise in the wild, but animal hybrids are rather rare.

And where can I get a book on plant ID? sometimes i don't even know what genus I'm looking at...
where did u find the plant from? Can see snails around! Even floating! Heehee
Got the plant from a trekking trip. It's in my daphnia tank now. As for the snails... haha, my snails are smart, they know when I'm around it means food.
