Guess last picture was a A. macmasteri. Is that right? Any prize for getting the right answer. I was there on Friday viewing the fishes but I wasn't given any attention. All staff were busy and I was hungry. So, I decided to give them a miss. Maybe next time I'll get few from them. Btw, did you see a double tails adult Apisto? I was interested in that one but the tank has no label or price. Did you get any?

ya, forgotten to mention, the last time I spoke to Andi, he promise a discount to AQ's members..

  5. #5
Discount? That was good but how much? How many % off the selling price or better still, place order for us and earn the markup %. In doing so, he need not bother with available tank space, just charge us for the service.

hahahaa.. then u expect them to earn from their service?

  7. #7
Seriously, if I manage to open a fish shop, it has to be a better one than any of those lfs which is limited by not only space but also cash flow. By taking orders from customers, I might be able to earn the more profit. Do not forget that disappointed customers are unlikely to come back to the same shop if they could get the same thing from other lfs. Besides, the service charge need not be too low as long as they are reasonable or it might be higher for the convenance that the shop provides. It's a demand and supply formula again. Oh yes, the fish holding cost is also not cheap too if the shop is to hold the fishes for a length of time. Have not work out the cost yet but I'm working on it.

Btw, I must say that AQ is a well managed web site. I'm in IT line too.

kekee.. well said, but sadly.. not many lfs owner see it in our way[] so when u opening a lfs?

feedback from some lfs, they need certain quantities b4 the supplier is willing to sell them the fishes.. and it is in hundreds.. not dollars but fishes.. and not forgetting fatality rate.. I do understand y some lfs isnt willing to bring in fishes like apisto or other wild fishes

is the huser redtail a natural color morph occuring in the wild or is it a product of selective breeding?
