i assuming u are adding nitrate and phosphate by sprinkling them straight....
for me, i dissolve them in water then add...maybe better..

Talking about KNO3 in solid form correct? It should dissolve after 5 mins or less if you dump in straight in. Or if you dissolve in water prior to adding into the tank, it should be immediate.

nitrates are supposed to be soluable.. those undissolved ones might be impurities..

KNO3 is one of the easiest to dissolve in water. For mine case, it's within seconds with stirring.

Get a small bottle like a 500ml mineral water bottle. Pour the KNO3 with the 300ml of water then cap it up. Shake it hard for a while. It definitely will dissolve fully. You can pour it right in your tank after that.

How much did you try to dissolve in 300ml of water? anything more than ~100g will not dissolve given solubility of ~350g/L at room temperature.

Heat up, add more water or dump powder straight into tank.
The fertilizer probably has some impurity in it as the rest of the guys have pointed out and will not dissolve.

if u never get the wrong chemical, its either u put in too much chemical to dissolve or too little water to being dissolved.

i just dump straight in to the tank and let it dissolve on it's own. usually takes 5-10 mins to fully dissolve cos usually it's a big lump of KNO3

yes. juz use the EI method to follow the correct ppm of nitrate and phosphate. try dosing 2 x per week if u having CO2 and high lighting setup.

actually given that if those are really impurities, it is not recommended to try to get them dissolved. you wouldn't know what chemicals you are adding besides the KNO3.
furthermore, try not to use warm water if the solids can't dissolve under room temperature. eventually it will still precipitate when you add it in to your tank water (especially if you are cooling it with fans/chiller). also not recommended to pour warm water straight into your tank.
