    Hi,

Where can I go to get cheaper moss, like java and christmas moss or Riccia.
And also for the bed, what moss or plant can grow like carpet type? I used to have hair grass but it was damn 'torok' to maintain, so not interested in that anymore.

    Thanks a lot.

    Welcome to AQ superchevy

Java and Riccia are cheap enough at good LFSes. Riccia is not a moss btw. Christmas might be a tad pricier. Try Nature Aquarium(opposite Thomson Medical Centre), I know they have all the stuff you want there.

For the bed, I assume you're talking about the foreground? Glossostigma elatinoides come to mind. Moss can be tied onto various flat stones and placed side by side to simulate a carpet, Riccia can be done this way too. Or, simply tie them to wire meshes and place them in the foreground.

Cheap stuff can usually be found there. Along with girls in bikinis Though I think he's refering to a carpeting plant when he says "bed"

You can also try Elatine triandra, also known as APP (ah pek plant) for your foreground.

Fairly easy plant to grow and with high co2 and lights, spreads fast to achieve the lush bright green carpet effect.

You'll also find the singapore moss I was talking about at the back right corner of the shop. Just ask Mr Chan or his father. The wife might not know anything though.
