Just got this pair of awesome cuties yesterday....still in process of aclimatising to the tank.....want to guess what it is? Probably got to wait for it to flare up!!!

wow! yorky seems to have an eye for identifying apistos even tho the pic is half half....yea its ap sp breitbinden.....got it from biotope....

the pair is still roaming and exploring the tank.....gota wait a while more before getting the male to do his "show"..!!!

I've been staring at apistos for a rather long time now.

You will enjoy this fish..
They are lovely and when it matures and flares, the dorsal of the male is out of this world!
To spawn, try to bring PH to below 5.5.
The female will tend to dig a hole beneath a driftwood to lay eggs.

YS, you are seeing too many apistos. I bet you also dream of them.

I just wish to do a thesis on them..

Here it is!!! after having the pair exploring and getting use to the setup, finally got the mirror in and get the male to do his stuff!!! realli drooled over the extra amaxing finnage!!! sorry for the bad pics, using a hp to take e pics.... enjoy!!

Hi Caca, if you are using Aquasoil, what's your PH reading?
Should be below PH 6 already..

i love the high dorsals on these fellas, i had a pair 4yrs ago but they had come from europe i'd prefer to get them wild.

i guess this male hasn't fully grown yet, i wana try maintain this low ph and feed it well so tat it will grow up nicely and hopefully the dorsal will also follow so..... lets see if there's any love sparks for this pair!! hahas....

kinda looking forward to see biotope's wild shipment tho.....
