Anyone know where to get real SAEs ?

I did some research on them and it seems that few species is very similiar to SAEs.

I think NA have them, I also saw some in Biotope.

I agree. If given choice, choose the younger one.
Can be found in many LFS. Price about $0.60 to $1.

Hi Dave,
The real SAE's black stripe extends all the way to the end of the tail even to the transparent part. The imposter's black stripe stops at the body not extending to the transparent part of the tail. Hope this helps in your search.

I think NA have them, I also saw some in Biotope.

Have to look carefully yourself to see that they are real SAEs. I once bought from NA, thinking they must surely have the real stuff, but also ended up with the fake ones [with the extra golden band] when I looked closer at home. Probably they unknowingly got a fake batch.

So best is to study the images from the internet to be doubly sure. Eg. See here
