No character... things still have to grow in.![]()
I'd say about 3 boraras. Rasboras? Too big.

My smallest creation yet on a relaxed Saturday night. Tank measures 18cm(L) by 12cm(B) by 15cm(H). No parameters mesured.
Placed on my workdesk and getting natural sunlight and no CO2 or filter. I could be adding a white or bluish-white background to it soon.
Plants: Hairgrass, nana petite
Fuana: Not yet, but deciding on small rasboras (merahs maybe) and cherry shrimps, well something red anyway since it's all green and grey now.
How many rasboras do you think it can support?

Ah, yes yes. Boraras not Rasboras.![]()
Yup, I reckon it will take about a month for the Hairgrass to start spreading.

that white gravel takes all focus away leh..

So maybe a dark gravel will make it look more outstanding?
Time to go shopping!![]()

i suggest black quarts..it will make the green and ur hardscape shows up. Amazonia is also good choice if u can find lobang for that small amount..![]()
btw..what filtration method u using for ur nano? hair grass needs water flow to thrive. Otherwise u'll find mulms or algae coat their hair. (personal experience)

I'd go for a dark brownish red or grey if I were you... White gravel tends to look good only in setups with that "mangrove" look.

Just did an overhaul. Using fine, black sand now.
Added 10 boraras (maculatas I think), pardon me but I'm not good with fish names...

it sure looks cute.
I just set up 1 too in my office, same size as yours. but i wanna keep it as a shrimp tank. currently have 9 cherries and almost 20 shrimplets. hope things goes well.
I like the mini nanas, looks just nice for the tank. I think I'll "kapo" some from my tank and bring it down tomorrow. heehee.
will you be putting more plants? how about a moss wall? saves space, hee hee.
cheers
Ting

The idea is to keep it simple, so going filterless and only using sunlight. No background plants needed, I'll just let the hairgrass fill in.Originally Posted by Ting

Looks nice and natural to me!![]()
Perhaps a stalk or two of hairgrass just in front of the rock at the base?![]()
Do keep us updated with the results of the tank. Cause I intending to start a nano tank and am interested to go filterless, so will be keen to see how your tank turn out.![]()
A noob & poor aquarist

what is the brand name of this tank? ive been looking for one of these for a while now and i cant seem to find one.. id buy online if there is a website selling themthanks

Hmmm, no brand on the tank when I got it. I think it's highly likely to be made in China or Taiwan(What's new?).![]()
I do have business with the Canadians, perhaps I can send you one?![]()

Sure id love to. one question the tank is glass right? and another second any other sizes.. i know many people here who like that look of that kind of tank.. simple, elegant.. perfect for an office

Yes, it's glass and I think it's about 4mm thick. And I think I have seen other sizes around, even though I'm not sure if it's the same brand.Originally Posted by Petah

I'm actually in the toys collectibles business, not selling aquariums...Originally Posted by Petah
But I could easily get these small aquariums across to Canada. Of course, shipping charges is a concern since it's expensive for small orders and more care is required in packing.
