2 different colours of Ram

I got 2 Rams today, which have lighter body colour than the pair I have in my tank (for about 3 months). The original pair are more "orange" in colour, while the new ones are more "white". Is it due to the food that I fed?

The "white" one from C328 yesterday, "orange" one I think also from C328 last Oct.

Looks like the paler one is a female, according to the pinkish belly. i saw apisto in the background.....

But from the dorsal fin, it looks like a male...

Genes, pecking order comes into play of colours.

The darker one is female. The paler one I think most likely female.
Yes, there are a few other species of apisto in the same tank.
