I'm crypt collecting... Starting cheap, now have Cryptocoryne beckettii, C.beckettii var petchii, C.crispatula var.balansae, C.griffithii(Melted!), C.nurii, C.parva, C.pygmaea(Melted!
), C.tonkinensis(Melted!
), C.walkeri, C.wendtii 'Brown', C.wendtii 'Green', C.wendtii 'Green Gecko', C.wendtii 'Tropica' and Cryptocoryne x willisii
Oh, juggling is hard work, man!...
Currently I am not using any cover. However, I have cut out a fitting cover made of acrylic "mesh". The acrylic "mesh" is bought from C328.
Do you use a filter to maintain the water conditions?
Looks good, I look forward to seeing another picture. I presume the picture is from the side rather from the front?
I am thinking of using that too for my tank... But I am thinking of using wire mesh as I will be adding small frogs to my vivarium... But dunno where to find...
Btw, what is the moss-like plant? Also, how is the lighting like?

Nice Albert.
Something about the water & the fishes that calms me down.
Thanks for all the compliments. The pics is actually taken from the front![]()
There is a pump running at the back to create a waterfall effect. However, it did not actually turn out to be what I wanted it to be. I use natural light in the day and supplement is with 11w PL in the night when I am at home. No fixed timing though. This tank is on my study table and the lights are orginally my study lights.
I am using Taiwan moss to cover the bogwood.
Nice, do you get algae problems with natural sunlight?
...I love rubies too ...
Ken
I did considered about algae problem when I am designing for this tank. However, the location of the tank does not receive intense sunlight and I reckon algae problem in vivarium is not as undesirable as aquarium. i.e. Algae on the wood makes it looks more natural.![]()
