that's right. the plants i have will at most grow to mid ht of the tank so plenty of space for the aro to swim.
feeding the aro from young with MW, SW or MP should curtail it's instinct to go for live food i.e. tankmates (hopefully )

my aro has grown more than an inch since 3 weeks ago and is not jumpy when i put my hands in to plant, rescape or water change. things looking good at the moment.

also no worries about the plants getting "rearranged" by the aro when it grows... most of it are tied to wood while the rest are low lying and root well.

will leave the small fishes in there and remove the discus to another tank when the aro gets bigger .... too precious to risk
