There are 25 nations completing but only 13 circuits are chosen so don't think we got a chance. Unless build a new track in Tuas or a street circuit in marina bay.

Have to wait for 3 weeks for them to come to Turkey(race day 27th). Then next month (Sept 10th) only one race in Italy. A long wait in between.

I was reading the TOP GEAR UK magazine. This month they feature 100 sexiest cars. It is amusing to read that F1 was so "yesterday" according to the feature as they talk about a trio of American muscle machines - the super-heated Viper, the hot new Ford Shelby GT500 and Chevrolet's smoking Corvette Z06 .

ah, TOP GEAR XTRA is what I watch too! I specially like the review they've done for some popular cars like the one whereby they challenge the Mercedes McLaren against some mode of public transport from their studio all the way to OSLO.

So who won? I'm sure not the Mercedes right?

The McLaren Mercedes won. The 2 co-host got lost at the town square. But what a journey. They got into a commercial plane and fly into another country from Britain, took a huge ferry, jump into a speedboat ( and it broke down while there's a storm coming ) and then jump into another boat that was following that speedboat ( this boat too brokedown and they got sea sick ) got into the port ( I forgotten how they did it ) took a public transport and alighted at the wrong place and got lost. The host however drove all the way from Britain to Oslo and waited for his 2 co-host to appear at the rendezvous, got bored for a few hours and left to go back to Britain in the same car. He had fallen asleep at a car stop or a gas station somewhere half way into the journey but arrived 1st in Oslo.

The other challenge was between an Aston MArtin DB9 ( I think ) and the Swiss public transport which was well known as being on time every time. Same concept of journey whereby the 2 co-host took a commercial flight out of Britain, hop into a public bus and transferred into a train in Switzerland and then took another bus up to the mountains. The host overtook his 2 co-host at the last leg of the journey up the mountain and arrived 1st again.

I'm waiting for the new season of Top Gear Xtra to return.

Last week another programme Fifth Gear shows Button in Honda F1 racing against a bike and a F1 boat. I think that happened last year.

I've watched that too but Fifth Gear is always repeating the programme. Nothing new at Fifth Gear at all, just re-runs actually.

Yah... I enjoy Brits programmes more than American ones... I love their humour and the use the english language.

There was one episode of top gear in which they pitted a sports car (can't remember which make/model) against a mountain climber up a mountain... and to no one's surprise... the mountain climber won!

Both Top Gear and Fifth Gear are British programmes. In fact the hosts for Fifth Gear were the orginal hosts for Top Gear. For unknown reason, BBC suddenly changed the whole team a few years back to the current team. I believe Top Gear has much bigger budget than its competitor. That's why we get to see more fancy stuff there

INDY Racing stuff are a bit plain in my humble opinion. It's quite similar to watching paint dry. F-1, Le Mans 24hr , Japanese Touring Races, European Touring Races, World Rally Championship grabs my attention. I don't really focus on any single team but I love to watch and learn from these programme.

Yes INDY races goes round and round, hundreds of rounds. They used hand switch to change gears. There no much protection, solid walls around the track. Flat-out speed and very near to each others, not for faint-hearted.

Ferrari tops the qualifying with a 1-2 pole position but with a twist. Massa is 1st while MSC is in 2nd position. Hope I catch the race tomorrow.
