Not bad, actually the driftwood with moss is really nice.

Take away the background paper and replace it with black.

yea agree with |squee|... the background paper too bright... and so many air patches... takes away the focus on the nice driftwood...

recommend the removal of the bg sticker. if next time buy rite, dun peel it off, just stick it at the top to ur tank with tape. otherwise very easy kena trapped air. the coconut hut is very cute imo^^

Most people use Oyama sticker paper for the background. Just mix some soap with water, apply the soapy water to both the tank surface and the Oyama sticky surface. Stick the Oyama paper on, use a ruler or a credit card to push the air bubbles to the sides. Use a penknife to cut off excess paper at the edges and its done!

    Hey guys,

The coconut husk you buy is the coconut for drinking type or the wet market type? Still can't get this right.....

Thanks for all the comments guys.

Hmm...about the coconut husk, I can't remember anymore. These 2 coconut husks have been with me for more than a year already. Given by one guy when he gave up keeping apisto.

I'm also looking at where to get this coconut husk. Last time, Eco Culture used to sell them but now they don't bring in them anymore.

In some wet markets, they will sell the coconuts for grinding... Think can buy from them before they are cut up into smaller pieces? Wash and then use?

Oh... I suddenly remember where I've seen the husks in the picture already... Check out the pasar malams... Sometimes they sell the young coconut which are round round one? Those can use I guess...

i got those husks as well...as mentioned, get them from pasar malams, about a dollar each... enjoy the drink and the meat inside, then chop it into halves if you wish or just leave it inside..

Those are Taiwan Moss.Nope there are no CO2 injected just occasionally Liquid Fertilizer and Flourish Excel.I want the moss to be slow growing so easier to maintain plus easier to check on my apisto.

Used to have 3 pairs consist of A. agassizii 'Tefe', A. sp. 'Wilhelmi' and A. macmasteri but now just changed to having 6 pairs consisting A. juruensis, A. bitaeniata 'Maranon', A. sp. 'Inka50' , A. trifasciata, T. candidi and unknown apistogramma (think its A. sp. 'Parrot').

The 3 pairs doesn't work out for me as the A. agassizii 'tefe' and A. sp. 'Wilhelmi' is quite aggressive. Now the 6 pairs are in there for more than 1 week so far no problem. No real aggression just fending off only. All the female are in breeding colour but don't think they breed as there's of a lot of attention from other fishes. Will need to monitor for at least 2 months.

Please don't follow me as I'm just trying out. Ever did it before but the moss is like bush so more hiding space. By the way, I have about 3 extra small tank already in standby just in case it doesn't work out.
