    Hello.
For some reason now, my female is all yellow and keeps chasing the male.
    This has never happened before.
She is a lot smaller than the male also. When she chases him, he flares his fins etc then it stops...but i dont want the male to get hurt.
    Any ideas?

She may hae a spawn somewhere, the female usually shows her belly towards the male after they had spawn. You can either pull the male out or leave it in, young parents are inexpirence so if you are willing to let the parents have the first few spawns themselves(they will consume their egg), after they learn more, they will be taking care of the eggs and the fry.

    Congrats.[]
    Cheers!

if yr tank is small, and if yr female is too aggressive toward the male, I oso suggest u pull out the male for his own safety.. I lose my A. macmasteri after the female had laid her eggs and was trying to persuade the male to fertilize the eggs.. but the male was to scared stiff and got bitten to death.. but from what i see, if the tank has enuff hiding places then u got nothin to worry

Well, according to benetay and my own belief i have a spawn. Female is all yellow, with black pectoral fins, and the first ray of her dorsal fin is black. the male seems to be doing fine now.
    Thanks,
