Ur ADA soil placed for how long?!
probably ur shrimps have died out of HP shock...
I added 4 yamatoes in my tank once, one by one over the weeks died. Found out that they hit their lifespan given their size. So I went to get 5 cherry and green shrimps for my 2ft tank and I can't find them. I am using ADA soil amazonia with christmas moss and alot of stem plants and tiger lilies. Using Seachem excel and flourish, change 2 buckets of water a week. I have 4 dwarf gouramis, 3 chocolate gouramis, 4 3-line pencil, 5 clown killies and 1 betta. Can any of those be the culprit? Do shrimps have problem being in low ph water?

I would say to observe your gouramis and betta...
Anyway, if the tank is heavily planted, you can hardly see the shrimps... especially if there are fish...

I'm crypt collecting... Starting cheap, now have Cryptocoryne beckettii, C.beckettii var petchii, C.crispatula var.balansae, C.griffithii(Melted! ), C.nurii, C.parva, C.pygmaea(Melted! ), C.tonkinensis(Melted! ), C.walkeri, C.wendtii 'Brown', C.wendtii 'Green', C.wendtii 'Green Gecko', C.wendtii 'Tropica' and Cryptocoryne x willisii
Oh, juggling is hard work, man!...
Soil been there for a month or so. Also it isn't dwarf goruamis, its sparkling gourami, my mistake. My tank is somewhat heavily planted, but there are 2 logs of moss in the front in full foilage and yet none of them are going onto it. Really strange.
Try using a algae wafer to lure them out. But personally, I feel Betta and shrimp don't mix. My shrimps are almost in the same setup as yours, don't think the PH is the factor.
Something about the water & the fishes that calms me down.
