Got the $4 male from C328 a few weeks ago, but it doesn't seem to be interested in the female that I got a few months ago.

good looking fish you have, just one question is the female a red agi?,
she looks a decent size maybe the male feels intimidated by her.in time they will spawn i'm sure of that.

The original male has a nice orange tail and is bigger. Is that considered red aga? The original pair has spawned once. Then later the male hide/missing for a few weeks, even after the fries are all gone. Subsequently saw its body. This all happened in a planted comm tank with other fishes and apisto.

I bought two from C328 too, but the colour not as nice as yours. I put the two male in same communal tank. They seems live well together.

Nice photo of the male specimen!! And the tank looks like something they will be happy to be in.

I've got some these too, but haven't got around to taking any pictures yet. That female specimen of yours certainly looks ripe and ready!

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

Like i always like to tell people that i had a pair of alenquer last time...which after a year later did Simon point out to me as 2 males.

    Goodness....

Yes a very nice aga considering the price...can't believe it. look at the top dorsal, all the colouration is waiting to be revealed only.
    Cheers!

    Thanks for all your comment.

The male does not seem to be interested in the female. He is seen spending more time chasing a smaller male of the same colour (also from C32. Just hope he soon realises that the female is waiting from him
