I have a tank containing about 10 cherry shrimps, and I just thrown a small piece of hikari algae wafer (broken off small piece) into the tank.

The shrimps love it, but they can't seem to finish it after about 1 hour.

    Question:

Should I leave the leftover wafer overnight or remove it?

Will the cherry shrimps eat to death? (do they know it when they're full)

Thanks in advance for your answers!

i see my shrimps they tend to munch onto something most of the time, dun think they will eat til death. so far havent seen any cases yet.

leftover food, whether to be taken off? for my case, i dun, which led to growth of panaria, partly due to overfeeding, pretty annoying!

You may consider to give 1/4 of the algae wafe for 10 shrimps only. Do not worry about over feeding. They will stop eating once they have enough. But overfeeding will pollute and affect your water quality.

left over and excess food should not be left in the tank...
that's what most of us do...remove excess food... keep the tank clean at all times... shrimps are sensitive...

    good luck with your shrimps...
    have fun...

Ya I agree, better to under feed than to overfeed. Anyway the shrimps are also the cleaning crew of the tank. They can always find other food source like algae, plants or the micro-organisms of the fishes' waste.
