    Hi,

Would like to know what conditions favour their growth?? Anyone got experience in them?

    What's the scientific name??

You referring to what's commonly know as APP? scientific name: Elatine triandra.

It's an easy plant-- rich substrate, good light, CO2 and good nitrate levels and you'll do fine.
    ...I love rubies too ...

    FC,

Can't seem to see the pictures. Looks like your image host does not allow external hot linking.

    Cheers,
I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?

Can this plant survive in a low maintenance non-co2 tank?

    Hi,
I setup a 1.5ft no undergravel fertilizer, no CO2, with only 11W light tank for my daughter. It has 2 platies and 3 small angel fish.
I just put in some APP last night.

We'll know if the APP does OK in this tank in about 2 weeks. If they are good, I'll post a picture.

    Meanwhile, keeping fingers crossed......

You can find the plant in AQ's gallery.

Do make use of the gallery since it is there for use.

Ms, the APP should start growing in a couple of day's time. IMO, it is a beautiful and seemingly easy plant.

Does the plant requires high light to grow well?

you'll need reasonable light level (>2wpg) else they will grow upwards.
