Interested in stocking a 150 gallon large cichlid tank

My plans are for a 150 gallon large cichlid tank...

Ideas for substrate:
Sand/Small Peebles

Ideas for decor:
Lots of river stones, and rock work
Lots of large plants for the back ground

Ideas for filteration:
--Not too sure... Wanted ideas from LSZ/FISHASIA...

Ideas for fish:
1 pair Luohans/flower horns (LH/FH)
1 female red devil
1 female jag
1 female JD
1 female Texas cich
1 Channel cat
1 Dino Cat (not too sure on scientific name)

Is it best to get all females?

Also, is there anyway I could put humphead in with them if they are all female?

I understand why you all do not like LHs, but I do...

It must be hard for all you guys... I mean LFS changing over to complete LH stores... that is just plain wacky.

Yeah but david, as i said, it could happen the same to your lfs..more and more people buy LH..more and more LH in shops..more and more shops selling LH only..

get all males.

and just keep one LH if you want
filtration as heavy as you can afford

i think the LH will spoil your set-up meaning they will likly to attack or kill your other cichlids.

if you want mixed species, get all males might as well.

for vast majority of CAs, males look hell a lot better than females.

Ok... So I had another change of heart...

This is what I want:
1 Male Parrot cichlid (hoplarchus psittacus)
1 Male Earth eater (some SA species)
1 Male Gold severum
1 Short Nose gar (lepisosteus platostomus)
1 Male Tilapia... (this one is the only one out of place...)

do you foresee aggression problem with the tilapia ?

and eartheaters will be happier in colony

Yeah, I was thinking about having a colony of them...

The tilapia I will be keeping has been raised with koi... I see no aggressional issues. But if there is, he will be replaced.
