Yes.i remember now... i think they are C. griseus...
i got them just cos i thought they looked cute... dont think i have both sexes though... how do you tell??
christ man your up late i'd be in bo bows at that time, haha.
the way to tell the sexes in the corys is first look at the ventral fins, in the females they are rounded at the edges the males usually come to a point, if still unsure look at the fish from above the male will be slender the female is diamond shaped.

well... i'm the night patrol..
i walk around with a lamp and proclaim the time every 4 hours..
haha..
Thanks mick.. which ever the case i jus think they are the neatest little fish..
Will look tomorrow ... thanks for the tip.
your welcome.

Well.. woke up this morning and found one of them dead...
Must be the acclimatisation... the other 2 arent eating as well...crappers..
are the females always bigger than the males?Originally Posted by mickthefish
on a lot of the species i'd say yes, but you have some which are near enough the same size, tell us what corys you have .

These are the few i have,
C.ven orange x04
C.Arcuatus x02
C.Concolorx02
C.elegansx02 (i think. will try and post a pics for identification)
anyway,How do i diffrentiate C.nanus from C.napoensis?
nice collection you have my favourites are the concolors ive got 7 of them so far, the difference between the napo and nanus is all in the dorsal fin, the nanus has a slight barring and the napo has a black blotch.

so i guess mine should be nanus. So are those cories that i have, the females are slightly bigger than the males or i judge them by their ventral?
the ven-orange, arcuatus and elegans once adult the females will be bigger than the males, in the concolors they should be the same size but the male will get a huge dorsal extension, the difference in all your corys will only be a 5mm difference.
mick
damn, i knew it. they were both males...lol.
anyway can you see the pic clearly or i can try and take another clearer pic?
