Most probably yr apisto not used to BW yet.
As for my apisto, they fight over for them.

fox, where did u get yr apisto from? the only reason a apisto isnt interested with bw, could be becoz the keeper fed them with something else (tubiflex)

my apisto always waiting for the sight of falling bw[]

the usual places, toh, h20 etc I find that the females are usually the ones more picky. I was looking at them and its seem that don't like the tough coverings of BW, or maybe its my imagination.

My Apisto loves bw too..... then I tried bh, they love them even more. It's been a long time since I fed my fish dry food (stopped after I installed the skimmer). Now I only feed food that sinks.

Normally my practise is, if got time I slowly defrost the bh and pinch bit by bit and feed if no time I just drop 5 cubes of bw into the tank. All the food will be cleared, no leftover I assure you.
    Cheers!!

Mine like BW as well as those freeze-dried BW. They also take in some Tetra Bits.

Have you noticed anything interesting when they eat frozen BW? Sometimes they didn't manage to get it down their throat and the BW comes out from the gill covers. Funny.

In the wild, some apistos will eat a bunch of sand and eat whatever is edible and the sand will come out from the gill covers.very funny.[] [] []

They siphon whatever that can be eaten and the rest out from their gills, this is why they are very prone to internal bacteria cos they keep eating old food which is contaminated..

Well, not only apisto does that but I can say that cories has the same habit too.
