Mmm. I think you can try removing the rightmost plants, those that I blackened out from the picture. This will give a nice slope for the eyes? See what others say

And the sword in the centre isn't right imho. Perhaps find another wood to complete the woodscape?

P.S. Let me know if you want this picture taken down

    Hmm Terence,

I think you are right. It does look better now that its been erased from the picture.

Don't remove the photo just yet, it'll be a good reference guide for me Thanks yah.

GF... tell you what i think is a problem.. your scape is generally heading in the triangle type of scape..
if you look at the plants after the natans.. what do you see.. just sweep your eyes across.. they are all the same height.. and then the next layer after that..is the E. tellenus.. what a difference in height isn't it??
this makes your mid ground plants stick out like a square peg.
Get soem hardscape and shift the mid ground plants a bit so that they blend more with the ongoing theme in your tank.. it should soften the look a little

    Hi Fei Miao,

Thanks for that compliment, however don't think its good enough for ADA to even consider looking yet.

Not aiming for perfection but a better understanding on how to aquascape better for the time being.

    Ok guys.

I really need some advise here.

This is the current layout of my tank taken about close to 2 weeks back.

I am intending to yank out all the hairgrass in the middle portion and have it replaced with probably mid-foreground plants so some plants (need advise here). My intention is to cover the legs of the DW. I was supposed to get some plants from Ranma but due to some family commitments I was unable to get these plants.

So can anyone help me out on this, recommendations on what sort of plants should I plant (probably in groups or batches)? What sort of plants would help compliment this? I've already done major trimmings to the plants and am aiming for the triangular look. So with this in mind, should I remove the DW on the right hand side? I know I will have to remove the Amazon on the right.

With this in mind, key question again is what plants should I plant? Thanks all.

Since yours is a 5footer, I suggest the use of larger leaf, darker green Anubias species like the barteri or coffeefolia. I think the Anubias nana will look too small in your tank, but you can also try to place these in thick clumps.
You can place these anywhere you like in varying heights to cover legs, hair whatever.
Whatever plants you choose, try a deeper shade of green. It seems like a monotonous piece when I see the picture.
