what is that black casing with orange wire hanging on the left side of the tank?

Black casing is an internal filter, used as a powerhead.
Orange hose is for the C02. The lfs didn't have the clear, hard hose, therefore ended up with this funky coloured one. Besides, my wife likes the colour...sigh.
