mmm… considering the veins, I say C. griffithii
why I don't do garden hybrids and aquarium strains: natural species is a history of Nature, while hybrids are just the whims of Man.
hexazona · crumenatum · Galleria Botanica
I'll let y'all know tomorrow if it's completely meltedThen we'll know it's griffithii
The vein looks like the china crypt.
Cheers
but not the leaves.
it could well be wendtii tropica. Where did you get the plant from, might give a better clue.

I second that. It looks more like a wendtii.Originally Posted by lorba

Neither of the stated. Would say it's C wendtii (tropical) too.
Well damn. Is wenditi supposed to be in a local stream? That's essentially where i found it. Pretty far up too. So i doubt someone tossed it out his window...
if its where i think you collected it, it could be any sp, not limiting to local.
griffithii has several growth form in the few locations that i observed tho.

So cryptyman, what causes the different growth forms? nutrients?
Environment factor in general. temperature, soil composition, light intensity, water temperature, flow rate etc.

U mean you had collected those specimen in Singapore... Interesting

There is more than just local griffithii.. there is ciliata, ponterderiifolia, lingua and perhaps wendtii i have seen too. Yours could be griffithii Shannon.

Which is the problem.. I have no idea what I'm looking at half the time. Ok, 99% of the time i can't tell one crypt from the otherBTW did you get my sms just now?
A little out of topic, sorry guys. Yes, i did.. no worries. Anyway it is not easy to id crypts unless you could see the spathe. But of course there are certain spp that you could definitely tell them apart.Originally Posted by XnSdVd
