Looks fine to me.
Some of these black marks are a result of the fish recovering from infections. Kind of like scars. You see them of dwarf cichlids as well.

I have dwarf cichlids in my tanks! Do you?
yes to what benny has said, some of the characins show battle wounds in that way, as the fish gets older they get more prominent.
